The Most Powerful Linux Command that nobody uses!!

lsof is the Linux/Unix über-tool. I use it most for getting network connection related information from a system, but that’s just the beginning for this amazing and little-known application. The tool is aptly called lsof because it “lists open files”. And remember, in Unix just about everything (including a network socket) is a file.

I have spent probably over 40 hours actually surfing this site and saving wallpapers. There are some truly AMAZING photographs on here. An excellent source for free backgrounds, sorted by user rating. The images are available in all common resolutions, from 2560×1600 down to 1024×768, and are very diversely themed.

Russia is set to install its own operating system in every Russian educational facility. The new Russian OS will be based on the Linux operating system. Linux now takes a big step in spreading its OS on a worldwide scale.
