Finally Linux users are able to experience the web more like the Windows world. Adobe just recently released the Linux version of the Flash Player after far too long with version 7. I have just recently installed it with using Kubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft and so far no issues have surfaced. If you are interested here’s the release notes from Adobe. Get it today at: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download for the source tar ball or RPM. If you are a Debian user like me, go here: http://packages.debian.org/testing/web/flashplugin-nonfree for the testing version 9.0.21.78.3. We come together once again to honor those who have made the world a crappier place in this year of the Lord, 2006. Truly, if there is anything notable about the past 365 days, it’s that there were few heroes and many assholes; more assholes than could even fit in the Goatse-man’s distended sphincter. This is probably the longest Asshole of the Year list I have compiled, and yet it still feels incomplete. If you feel I have made a glaring omission, it’s likely because A)I was too lazy to write it up B)it wasn’t “USian” enough, or C) I don’t share your politics and likely consider you an asshole too.
